"Wrapping Blessings in Reed Leaves, Tying Affections with Colorful Threads": Dragon Boat Festival Celebration Activities Held by School of International Studies

School of International Studies held activities celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival on the afternoon of June 2, 2022, aiming to enhance international students’ understanding of Chinese traditional culture. Prof. Zheng Yuanhua, Dean of School of International Studies, Prof. Li Yanni, Vice Dean of School of International Studies, teacher representatives, international student counselors and international student representatives attended these activities.


Song Lijiao, the head teacher of international students, firstly introduced the origin and customs of the Dragon Boat Festival to the international students. The activity atmosphere was pushed to a climax through the game of “Dragon Boat Race” and the quiz competition of “Dragon Boat Festival Knowledge”. The international students present showed a passionate interest in the festival and actively participated in activities, such as making zongzi and weaving five-color strands.

These activities enriched international students’ campus life, enhanced their experience of Chinese traditional culture, and contributed to increasing their interest in learning the language and traditional culture of China.
