Recently, the Department of Education of Shandong Province released the List of the First Provincial Demonstration Centers for Teacher (Teaching) Development of Undergraduate Colleges and Universities in Shandong Province. The Teacher Teaching Development Center of Binzhou Medical University (BMU) successfully made the list. Only six colleges and universities in the province received this honor.
BMU's Teacher Development Center was established in October 2013 as an independent department. Aiming at building a first-class teaching force, the Center works to explore a replicable and sustainable teacher development model with the characteristics of local medical universities, while centering on the function of teaching. It has innovatively built a double-track, four-step, three-synergy teacher development system for local medical universities to achieve concurrent improvement and promotion in both teaching ability and talent cultivation.
After a decade of development, the center keeps forging ahead. The center will continue to follow the latest directions of the Ministry of Education and the Provincial Department of Education, insist on medical education research, improve standards, teams, and the brand, and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of higher education.
