On the morning of July 7, the University's second talent and faculty construction work conference was held in the lecture hall of Rongxiang Building on Yantai campus and the lecture hall on the fifth floor of library in Binzhou campus concurrently.
At the opening ceremony, the Peninsula Cancer Center of Binzhou Medical University (BMU) led by Qin Yue, Chief Scientist of the National 973 Program, was unveiled, and the President Zhao Shengtian delivered a letter of appointment to Qin Yue.
The Center aims at the global cancer pathogenesis and precision treatment highlands and organizes research. It is determined to innovate and overcomes cancer problems based on the advantages of BMU. It focus on scientific research, biomedical technology and clinical teams and makes joint effort with international cancer centers, such as Harvard University Cancer Center, New York Sloan Cancer Center and Cambridge University in the United Kingdom. The Center is committed to identifying transformed tumor metabolism-protein apparent post-translational modification profiles, transforming accurate prediction of upper gastrointestinal cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer and breast cancer gene mutations, and precision targeting small molecules for lung cancer, breast cancer, and thyroid cancer immune nodes to establish targeted immunotherapy for gastrointestinal tumors, oncogene pathogenic mechanisms, drug-resistant tumor targets and precision biomedical informatics platform construction, CTC diagnosis and dialysis of circulating tumors, NK cells, stem cells and cancer treatment.
