Prof. Zheng is the first to propose the blockchain distributed trusted system model in China, and put forward the blockchain ternary optimization and balance strategy. In 2009, Zheng hosted the workshop on Blockchain Intrinsic Technology - Distributed Trusted System. Based on the paper, “Dynamic Characteristics of Software Credibility and Its Evolutionary Complexity”, the workshop revealed the dynamic complexity of distributed trusted software system, and discussed the general scientific issues of building distributed trusted system and the metric theory of establishing system credibility. Zheng has long been engaged in research on the intersection of mathematics and information, such as aerospace information security and complex intelligent system, and has founded the fundamental theory and method of RAI. He has created kinetic code - the principle and method of cryptanalysis based on the fusion of algebra and dynamics, broken through the technical bottleneck of high speed, low consumption and multi-mode of aerospace information security, and successfully developed a series of new aerospace safety equipment while installing side by side, making important contributions to the development of aerospace high speed and high security digital transmission theory, technology and new equipment. He has created the theory and method of regulating system complexity for complex information systems, and established a new computational model for rapid information propagation, global information diffusion and accurate data analysis, which has an important international academic impact. He has given a nonlinear assessment method for the complexity of trusted system, and realized the precise control of distributed trusted system, i.e., the behavior can be expected, the state can be monitored, the effect can be evaluated, and the abnormality can be predicted. He is the editor-in-chief of MSC “Springer-Birkhauser” journal and the MBE journal of the Mathematical Institute of the American Mathematical Society, and serves as the chair of academic or program committees of more than ten major international academic conferences and as a member of various committees of dozens of major academic conferences.

Prof. Zheng has won the first Prize of National Technology Invention Award, the first prize of Natural Science Awards of Ministry of Education, the first prize of National Defense Technology Invention Award and the Ho Leung Ho Lee Science and Technology Progress Award as the first completer. He has presided over many major projects such as the major project of National Natural Science Foundation of China and national major special fundamental research project, and published more than 100 SCI papers in well-known journals at home and abroad, which have produced important international academic influence. Zheng has authorized more than 30 national invention patents and 63 national defense technical reports.
