Prof. Xie enjoys the Special Government Allowance of the State Council. He is the New-Century Talent of the Ministry of Education of the PRC, Chief Expert of Key Laboratory of Tumor Molecular Biology of Shandong Institutions of Higher Learning, Health Science and Technology Innovation Talent of Shandong, Director of Science and Technology Department of Binzhou Medical University.
Teaching Experiences
Prof. Xie has been teaching basic medical curriculum, including biochemistry and molecular biology for 17 years. In charge of the construction of the curriculum, he has undertaken the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, which have been evaluated as Shandong Provincial High-quality Courses. He has been the main lecturer of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology MOOC supported by the People’s Medical Publishing House. He insists on the educational concept of moral education, attaches importance to the ideological and political education of medical students, guides and helps medical students to learn independently, establishes the concept of lifelong learning, and realizes the self-cultivation goal of fostering virtue by oneself, helping to foster virtue and promoting all-around development. He not only trains medical students with high medical ethics and excellent medical skills, but also trains students with great love, great virtue and great sentiment, cultivating qualified builders and successors of medical career. He has been awarded as Excellent Teacher, Outstanding Teacher and Model of Teacher Morality.
Scientific Research
Prof. Xie has long been engaged in the research of molecular genetics of diseases and have achieved innovative results in the field of life science non-coding RNA research. Xie and his team members actively carried out research on the rapid detection of coronavirus, and developed two kinds of Coronavirus test kits, which are simple to operate and highly accurate and can save time for testing. Xie has published more than 70 papers in J Control Release, Ann Rheum Dis, Free Radic Biol Med, Cell Death Dis, Biomater Sci and other journals. Prof. Xie has presided over or undertaken more than 20 projects, including projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China and Natural Science Foundation of Shandong. He was awarded the prize of Shandong Science and Technology Progress Award, Excellent Scientific Research Achievements Award of Shandong Institutions of Higher Learning, Shandong Excellent Scientists and Technological Worker, Shandong Youth Science and Technology Award, etc.
Recognition and Awards
1. In Dec., 2020, Application of the Regulation of Target Genes by TGF-β1 Pathway-related MicroRNAs in Tumor Diagnosis and Treatment of Xie and his team won the First prize of Excellent Scientific Research Achievements Award of Shandong Institution of Higher Learning.
2. In Dec., 2017, Xie was awarded Excellent Scientists and Technological worker of Shandong.
3. In Jan., 2014, Xie won the prize of Shandong Science and Technology Progress Award.
4. In Jan., 2010, Xie won the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education.
