I. Profile
Medical Research Center of Binzhou Medical University Hospital is a public experiment platform that combines scientific research, teaching and service. It has two supporting platforms-SPF animal room and biobanks-that provides services to the faculty and postgraduates.
II. Infrastructure
The Medical Research Center covers an area of 2,000 square meters and has advanced equipments that include transmission electron microscope, two-photon microscope, laser scanning confocal microscope, flow cytometer, electrophysiological recording and real-time PCR, with a total equitpment value of over 30 million yuan. To conclude, the Center has the hardware and technical support to experiment on integrate animals, cells and molecules.
III. The Team
Medical Research Center has 39 full-time scientific researchers, among them, 14 has doctoral degree, 8 has one-year overseas study experience. There are 1 Young Expert Taishan Scholar, 3 “Qilu Health and Wellness Leading Experts”, 2 Outstanding Contribution Experts of Bohai Talents in Binzhou City and 2 young academic leaders of Binzhou City in the team.
IV.Academic Achievements
The main research directions of the Center include (1) integrative oncology; (2) novel target of mood disorder treatment; (3) immune regulation of diseases. The Center has undertaken 80 scientific research projects, including 11 National Natural Science Foundation projects and 25 provincial and ministerial projects, with a total funds of 15 million yuan. The Center has published over 100 papers, of which over 50 are included in SCI, and the impact factor of a single article is as high as 15. It has won 2 Shandong Provincial Medical Science and Technology Innovation Achievement Awards, 1 Shandong Pharmaceutical Association Science and Technology Third Prize, and several Binzhou Natural Science Awards.
