Bai Xianyong has long been engaged in teaching, scientific research and management and has presided over one project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project funded by the Ministry of Education for outstanding backbone teachers, one project funded by the Special Fund for Outstanding Young Scientists of the Ministry of Health, one project funded by the Shandong Province Outstanding Young Scientist Award Fund, two projects funded by the Shandong Province Natural Science Foundation, and one Scientific and Technological Development Project of Shandong Provincial Department of Health. He has published 38 papers in important academic journals at home and abroad (21 as the first author), many of which have been indexed in SCI and has edited six textbooks and co-edited in two textbooks.

Third-class Merit in the “Youth Meritorious Service” activity in Shandong province in 1995; training target for the Backbone of Young and Middle-Aged Academic Subjects during Shandong Province’s “Ninth Five-Year Plan” in 1997; the fifth batch of Young and Middle-Aged Key Scientific and Technological Talents of the Shandong Provincial Health system in 2008; training target of Outstanding Backbone Teacher of Higher Education by the Ministry of Education in 2000; the second prize and the third prize of Shandong Provincial Excellent Teaching Achievement Award in 2001; Nomination Award in the second Qilu Evening News Cup by Shandong University Working Committee in 2002; Advanced Individual in Teaching Management of Shandong Universities in 2002; Outstanding educator in Binzhou City with a second-class merit in 2003; Excellent Graduate Instructor in Shandong Province in 2009. In 2009, he won the third prize of Shandong Provincial Excellent Teaching Achievement Award; the third prize of Shandong Provincial Postgraduate Education Teaching Achievement Award in 2009; first prize for Excellent Teaching Achievement Award of Shandong Province in postgraduate education in 2010; the first prize for Excellent Textbooks of Shandong Universities in 2012; the second prize of the Second Provincial Teaching Achievement Award of Graduate Education in 2013; Advanced Individual in Scientific Research Management of Shandong Universities in 2011; third prize for Scientific and Technological Progress awarded by the Ministry of Health; two third prizes for Scientific and Technological Progress awarded by Shandong Education Commission; third prize for Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement Award of Shandong Universities; second prize for Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement Award of Shandong Universities.
