Teaching and Research Achievements
Prof. Wang has long been engaged in scientific research in the fields of resource and environmental economics, ecosystem management, and environment and health management. He has presided over four projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China's, namely, Mine Area Ecological Health Evaluation Theory and Empirical Research (Grant No. 70173034), Ecological Economic Model and Empirical Research in Island Areas (70573064), Study on Ecological Industry Development Models in Typical Mining Areas (70973069) ), and Research on the Management and Regulation Mechanism of the Compound Ecosystem in Coal Mining Areas (71273158) and over 10 provincial and ministerial projects, including Research on the Theory and Methods of Mineral Resources Management of the Natural Science Foundation of Shandong Province, Sustainable development model for Island Areas of the Soft Science Project of the Shandong Department of Science and Technology of Shandong Province. According to peer experts, his research results have reached the domestic leading level or the domestic advanced level. He has presided over many horizontal cooperation projects.
In recent years, Prof. Wang has published more than 70 papers in academic journals, such as Management World, Journal of Ecological Sciences, and Journal of Coal Industry, many of which have been indexed in SCI and EI and he has published six monographs.
Recognition and Awards
Second prize of Shandong Science and Technology Progress Award in 2007; second prize of Shandong Provincial Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award in 2007.
