Recently, the “Ode to the Party” 2021 University Student Chorus Art Festival in Shandong was held at Qingdao Chengyang Grand Theater. The Dream Choir of our University won the first prize of the non-professional group, and our University won the Excellent Organization Award. This is the second time that our University won the first prize after we won this honor at the first University Students Chorus Art Festival in Shandong in 2019.
Since the start of the competition in April, the Youth League Committee of the University has attached great importance to this event, making the songs as a media to carry out aesthetic education, and guiding students to perceive the beauty of national culture and eulogized the new era through the art activities. The choir instructor Geng Wenjing led the students to rigorously rehearse and prepare carefully. In the end, with solid singing skills and wonderful stage performance, they stood out from the 177 university student choirs of more than 100 universities in the province and entered the finals. In the final, the Dream Choir performed affectionately the two songs, “Don't Forget the Original Aspiration” and “I Like…”. “Don't Forget the Original Aspiration” eulogized the party's century of struggle and expressed the young generation's determination to listen to the Party, feel grateful to the Party, and follow the Party. “I Like…” is melodious and beautiful, showing the youthful and vigorous spirit of the medical students of Bin Medical University, which won warm applause from the audience.
This competition is the second University Student Chorus Art Festival in Shandong, sponsored by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education, organized by Qingdao Education Bureau, Chengyang District People’s Government, Peninsula City Newspaper, and Co-organized by the Sports Bureau. The event takes “Ode to the Party” as the theme, adopts chorus and semichorus to praise the hundred years of glory and great achievements of the Communist Party of China, educates and guides young students to further study the party's history, and inherit and carry forward the fine traditions of the fine work style of the Party, constantly enhance the ideological consensus and action consciousness of listening to and following the Party, and strive to become a newcomer of the era who is responsible for the great task of national rejuvenation.
