From July 28 to 30, the 2021 Academic Annual Conference of the Basic Medical Application Technology Transformation Professional Committee of Shandong Medical Biotechnology Society was successfully held in Room 216, Rongxiang Building, Yantai campus of Binzhou Medical University (BMU). Nearly a hundred experts, scholars, medical staffs and business people from different universities and institutions, including Shandong First Medical University, Qingdao University, Weifang Medical University and Shandong Provincial Hospital, attended the Conference.
On 29th, the Conference opened at 8:30 am. Zhang Yulong, Member of CPC BMU Committee and Director of the Publicity Department leading by CPC BMU Committee, delivered a welcome speech. Professor Jiang Guosheng, Chairman of the Shandong Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Society, delivered an opening speech, Zhang Haidong, Chairman of the Basic Medical Application Technology Transformation Professional Committee of Shandong Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Society, introduced the preparations for the annual meeting and Yang Cheng, Dean of School of Basic Medical Sciences, presided over the opening ceremony.
Zhang Yulong, Member of CPC BMU Committee and Director of the Publicity Department leading by CPC BMU Committee, delivered a welcome speech.
Zhang Yulong first expressed congratulations on the Conference on behalf of BMU, welcomed all the leaders, experts and guests who took time out to attend the conference, and mainly introduced BMU’s development history and layout, teaching and scientific research of School of Basic Medical Sciences and exploration and promotion of BMU in basic theory and application transformation. He said that BMU will serve the Conference and experts wholeheartedly and wish the Conference a great success.
Professor Jiang Guosheng, Chairman of the Shandong Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Society, delivered an opening speech.
Jiang Guosheng first expressed his congratulations on the Conference and his gratitude to the organizers for their efforts. He briefly introduced the development and themes of the society over the past year. This Conference aims to build an important communication platform for the integration of basic and clinical and basic and applied research. It is hoped that experts and scholars will have in-depth discussions around the theme of the Conference, including discussion on basic theories and application transformation, to promote the application of medical biotechnology.
After a brief opening ceremony, then came a series of keynote reports. Professor Jiang Guosheng, Executive director of the Chinese Society of Immunology, who came from Shandong First Medical University (Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences) made a keynote report on Non-coding RNA and leukemia directed differentiation. Professor Zhang Zhong, Director of Scientific Research of Shandong First Medical University (Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences) gave a keynote report on Good scientific research helps personal development. Professor Xu Lin, Director of Orthopedics Department of Yantai Affiliated Hospital of Binzhou Medical University, made a keynote report on Surgical Approach Accurate Marking Anatomy and Standardized Training-Taking Surgical Treatment of Ankle Fractures as an Example. Professor Wang Yue from the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Shandong First Medical University (Shandong Provincial Academy of Medical Sciences) made a report on Molecular Mechanisms and Transformation of Disgusting Memory Generation and Disappearance. Professor Fan Xiaohua, Director of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of Shandong Provincial Hospital, reported on Anatomy, Prevention and Rehabilitation of Lumbar Disorders. Professor Zhang Xiaoqing from Binzhou Medical University made a report on Using immunomodulatory biomaterials to promote vascular tissue regeneration. Associate Researcher Li Bingqing, from School of Basic Medical Sciences, Shandong First Medical University (Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences), made a report on Study on the Survival Mechanism of Salmonella in Macrophages. Associate Professor Zhao Dongmei from BMU delivered a special report on ADSCs transplantation to regulate the effect of ATF6-CHOP pathway on neuronal apoptosis in rats with spinal cord injury.
At the closing ceremony, Jiang Guosheng issued group member certificates to Heze Lingbo Medical Organization Application Research Institute and Shandong Digital Human Technology Co., Ltd. Zhang Haidong issued member appointment letters to new individual members.
Shandong Medical Biotechnology Society was established in 1993. It is a legal person organization of non-profit social organizations formed voluntarily in accordance with the law. Its members are mainly composed of units and individuals engaged in and enthusiastic about research on education, development, production and application of medical biotechnology. This conference has deepened the cooperation between BMU and academic organizations, and played a positive role in promoting basic medical research and the connection between basic medicine and clinical applications in BMU.
