The Second First Aid Training Class for Faculty Members was held in Clinical Skills Training Center, Rongxiang Building from November 16 to 18. Che Xianli, Secretary of the CPC BMU Committee and Zhou Lianshun, Member of the CPC BMU Committee and Director of Organization Department attended the training. More than 100 faculty members participated in the training.
In the training, Che Xianli emphasized that Binzhou Medical University (BMU) has abundant resources in clinical teachers, equipment, and rooms. We are committed to building a professional teachers’ team to serve the public. The training should be carried out continuously and should be actively promoted, to allow more teachers and students to learn first aid and to know first aid.
The training class consisted of three sessions, with Jiang Shanhong, Director of the Emergency Department of Yantai Affiliated Hospital of Binzhou Medical University (the Second School of Clinical Medicine), and Zhao Baomeng, teacher of the General Surgery Teaching and Research Office being the lecturers. The two teachers started from theory, explained and demonstrated first aid knowledge and skills in detail, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation and Heimlich and guided on-site training. The training has achieved good results. It raised the awareness of teachers to master first aid knowledge and skills and helped them to improve the ability of self-rescue and mutual rescue and the ability to deal with emergencies.
The training class was jointly organized by BMU labor union and the fourth branch of BMU labor union(the First School of Clinical Medicine, the Second School of Clinical Medicine), aiming to enable faculty members to master the basic first aid skills, further improve the ability of self-help and mutual rescue, and effectively enhance the sense of social responsibility and mission. We would like to provide faster and more efficient health protection for the health and life safety of the public, and live up to the brand of Benevolent BMU.
