At the beginning, coming to China scared me since I had never been to another country before and it was worsened by the thought of having to meet new people from different countries and learn the language that I didn’t know. However, as each day became better, I grew to realize that I actually liked the language and the culture, and the people that I was scared of have actually become like my family now.
I always thought that the only thing I’ll be doing here is just study, but I am grateful to the university for organizing various activities which made me realize that there are many other things you can do for fun. During this process, I can interact with other people and know the world outside the university. I haven’t been able to visit a lot of places here in China, but for those few places I’ve been to, I have enjoyed myself and hope that I will get more opportunities to explore other places in the future.
A lot of knowledge and skills have been imparted on me in this place, from the teachers and other students, and I don’t regret coming to this university.
