The 14th World Chinese Urological Society (WCUS) Meeting was held online on May 28. At around 1 PM, the WCUS Life Achievement Award, Annual Achievement Award and Rising Star Award were presented at the meeting. Prof. Zhao Shengtian, President of Binzhou Medical University (BMU), won the WCUS Lifetime Achievement Award.
Due to COVID-19, the awards were presented online to the experts and scholars that had made remarkable contributions to Chinese urology worldwide. At the online award ceremony, Prof. Wang Run, a world-famous expert at sexual medicine and andrology, Former President of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America, President of the Global Chinese Andrology & Sexual Medicine Association and Director of Men's Health, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, read the profile of Zhao; Tom F. Lue, Founder and President of WCUS, Professor and Vice Chair of Urology, Emil Tanagho Endowed Chair in Clinical Urology and Director of the Knuppe Molecular Urology Laboratory at University of California, San Francisco, presented the certificate of honor for the WCUS 2022 Life Achievement Award to Zhao.
The 14th WCUS meeting focused on urology, urological oncology, andrology and other topics about the progress of urology. The WCUS Academic Committee developed an important agenda covering the cutting-edge progress in urology, especially in the Chinese urological community worldwide. All speakers and moderators were selected by each regional society in WCUS to represent the best urologists, andrologists and urological/andrological scientists from each respective society.
