Recently, the National Molecular Imaging Summit Forum 2022 and Shandong Molecular Imaging Academic Conference 2022, co-sponsored by the Shandong Provincial Hospital Affiliated to Shandong First Medical University, Binzhou Medical University (BMU), and Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital, were successfully held in Yantai. The combined conference was held both offline and offline with more than 100 offline participants and more than 20,000 online participants. Renowned domestic experts in molecular imaging and related fields gathered at the inspiring event!
The opening ceremony of the conference was held on the morning of August 6. Prof. Zhao Shengtian, President of BMU, Prof. Ju Shenghong from Zhongda Hospital of Southeast University, Head of the Molecular Imaging Group of the Chinese Society of Radiology and Prof. Hong Nan, Vice Director Member of the Chinese Society of Radiology and Vice Dean of Peking University People's Hospital, Prof. Liu Shiyuan from Shanghai Changzheng Hospital, Director Member of the Chinese Society of Radiology and Academician Teng Gaojun from Zhongda Hospital of Southeast University, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. The attending guests depicted an inspiring vision for molecular imaging, wished for the prosperity of the field, and congratulated the organizers on the success of the conference! Prof. Wang Ximing from Shandong Provincial Hospital Affiliated to Shandong First Medical University, Deputy Head of the Molecular Imaging Group of the Chinese Society of Radiology, reported on the organization of the conference. The conference was hosted by Li Xianglin, Member of the Molecular Imaging Group of the Chinese Society of Radiology and Dean of the School of Medical Imaging of BMU.

After the opening ceremony, 46 renowned experts in molecular imaging and related fields from all over the country gave academic lectures offline and online, offering an academic feast for online and offline audiences. The lectures focused on the new technologies, methods, and applications of molecular imaging, the latest scientific research achievements, and prospects of development, presenting the interdisciplinary integration and the combination of basic research and clinical applications and advocating the all-around development of molecular imaging and related fields. They introduced the latest progress in scientific research, innovations, frontier information, and academic achievements to the audience around the world, helping further improve the clinical ability, scientific research, teaching, and management of medical workers, researchers, teachers, and students in connection with molecular imaging research. To better summarize and present research achievements of molecular imaging, Hao Xiuyuan, Director of Chinese Medical Journal, and He Guangjun, President of Chinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, were invited to give lectures offline. Zhang Linlin, Director of the Editorial Department of Chinese Journal of Radiology, provided online guidance.

This conference focused on inter-discipline, innovation, and transformation, renowned Chinese and foreign experts and scholars were invited to the conference to conduct comprehensive and in-depth academic exchanges and discussions. The conference served as an important driver for broadening the horizon of international molecular imaging research, strengthening the discipline's development, deepening academic research, speeding up the growth of the molecular imaging branch and group of the society, promoting scientific research innovation and clinical application of molecular imaging, expanding the applicable scope of imaging in clinical medicine, and improving the role of imaging medicine in clinical diagnosis and treatment. The conference provided participants with a high-level academic exchange platform for cross-regional and cross-disciplinary communication, topic discussions, academic exchange, and result sharing. It contributed to the prosperity and development of molecular imaging and dramatically enhanced the academic influence of BMU.
