Recently, the Education Department and the Development and Reform Commission of Shandong Province jointly released the First List of Green Schools in Shandong Province, which included Binzhou Medical University (BMU).
In September 2021, the Education Department and the Development and Reform Commission of Shandong Province jointly released the Action Plan for Constructing Green Schools in Shandong Province to drive the practicing of green development in schools, promote the construction of ecological civilization, further cultivate a favorable atmosphere of advocating ecological civilization, and build a "Beautiful Shandong" together. In recent years, BMU has insisted on green development by taking a variety of measures to build a green campus and combine the concept of ecological civilization with different tasks of the university. BMU has received honorary titles such as "National Advanced University of Energy Saving", "National Advanced Campus of Basic Management for Urban Water Saving, Advanced University of Energy Saving and Emission Reduction in Shandong Province" and "Water Saving Enterprise (Unit) in Shandong Province".
The title of "Green School in Shandong Province" is the full recognition of BMU's practice of the green development concept. At this opportunity, we will take building a "Green School" as a grip, focus on energy efficiency and consumption reduction, combine green development with the connotation development of our university, improve the long-term mechanism of ecological civilization construction, create a green campus culture, provide a more pleasant working and learning environment for all teachers and students, and make new and more contributions to the high-quality development of BMU and the construction of a "Beautiful Shandong".
