On the morning of August 16, Secretary of the CPC BMU Committee( short for “CBC” in the following passage) Che Xianli, Deputy Secretary of the CBC Sun Xiangjun, and Zhou Lianshun, Member of the CBC and Head of the Organization Department of the CBC, investigated and urged the construction progress of BMU's commercial complex project and gave important instructions. Principals of the General Office and Logistics Management Department accompanied the leaders in the investigation.
Che Xianli led the delegation to the construction site of the commercial complex project, inspected the project's conditions, and listened to the reports made by the construction contractor and the principal of the Logistics Management Department on the project progress and priorities for the next stage. Che Xianli required that the commercial complex should be built according to a high starting point, high positioning, high-level planning, and high standards to create a young and fashionable comprehensive service center integrating shopping, learning, leisure, and entertainment, provide high-quality services to teachers and students, and meet their increasingly diversified needs in consumption. He pointed out that it was important to effectively guarantee the construction progress and ensure that on-time handover of the project with a reverse schedule and firm execution to ensure that students’ needs are meet in the new semester. He reiterated the importance of construction quality and put forward the demand for an exquisite project, required close attention to safety in construction by taking a wide range of measures and stressed the alignment of construction acceleration with functional requirements to facilitate creation of diversified, information-based, and intelligent comprehensive service spaces for the campus.
The campus commercial complex, located on the first and second floors of the Logistics Comprehensive Service Building, is intended to create an integrated service structure combining online and offline services featuring one circle and two areas encompassing the people-centric concept and intelligent operation and seeking harmonious coexistence with the surrounding restaurants and student dormitories. The commercial complex will include supermarket, 7-ELEVEn convenience store, water bar, coffee shop, fruit shop, barbershop, optical shop, typing and copying shop, cake shop, mobile phone maintenance shop, sporting goods store, clothing, shoes and hats shop, bookstore and audio and video products shop. The large-scale supermarket on the first floor will be opened before students return to school after the summer vacation, and the specialist shops on the second floor will start operation in mid-September according to the plan. Besides meeting various needs, the circle of the campus commercial complex is also to create a comprehensive and high-quality shopping environment for teachers and students by underlining the functions of campus culture, education, consumption, and leisure through the environmental design inside and outside the building.
