BMU Students Win Awards at National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum for Undergraduate Students in Psychology

The National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum for Undergraduate Students in Psychology was held online recently. This forum had three sub-forums on psychological experimental design, practical problem solution and psychological product design. 36 projects of undergraduate innovation and entrepreneurship from 28 higher education institutions across the country were on exhibition at the forum. Li Mingyu, a student of the year 2020 majoring in applied psychology from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of Binzhou Medical University (BMU) won third prize at the sub-forum on psychological experiment design.


The forum is a class-A competition sponsored by the Education Supervisory Committee of Psychology in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education and co-organized by the School of Psychology and Cognitive Science of East China Normal University and the Virtual Teaching and Research Section for Reform of Models in Training Top Psychology Students.


In the preliminary stage, the general forum received 231 applications submitted by 101 universities, including 67 applications for the sub-forum on psychological experiment design, 84 for the sub-forum on practical problem solution, and 80 for the sub-forum on psychological product design. Each sub-forum nominated 12 projects for the finals (36 projects in total) after evaluation by an expert panel composed of 50 psychology college teachers.


The finals were held online. In the final of the sub-forum on psychological experiment design, the two winners of first prize, four winners of second prize, and six winners of third prize were finally selected according to the results of the 12 candidates, who competed in a day-long test.
