BMU Students Won Medals at Shandong Games of Disabled Persons

The 11th Shandong Games of Disabled Persons closed successfully in Rizhao on September 20. Athletes form BMU performed brilliantly at the games and sent back good news on new achievements!

These are some of our medal-winning students.

BMU sent 22 student athletes with disabilities to participate in 37 events of 8 sports, and they won 4 gold, 16 silver and 16 bronze medals. Among them, BMU student athletes won 1 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze medals in judo (visually impaired group); 1 gold model in table tennis (visually impaired group); 1 gold and 1 silver medal in women's basketball (hearing impaired group); 1 gold medal of men's T11 1500 meters race, 4 silver medals of men's T11 400 meters race, T11 800 meters race, T12 800 meters race, T11-13 4*400 meters relay respectively, 3 bronze medals of men's T12 1,500 meters race, T11-13 4*100 meters race, 4 medals of women's 100 meters race, 200 meters race, 4*100 meters relay, and 4*400 meters relay in track and field events (visually impaired group); 1 silver and 7 bronze medals in swimming (visually impaired group); 5 silver medals in dryland curling (hearing impaired group).


At the games, the student athletes from BMU carried forward the Olympic motto of Faster, Higher, Stronger, Together and the sports spirit of exert ourselves constantly and striving for improvement for persons with disabilities. They achieved breakthroughs at the games with praiseworthy results bespeaking their unremitting efforts!
