Binzhou Medical University (BMU) held a commendation meeting concurrently on the Yantai and Binzhou campuses on the afternoon of September 8, 2022 to celebrate the 38th Teacher's Day. Che Xianli, Secretary of the BMU CPC Committee, gave a speech. Other leaders of BMU present included Zhao Shengtian, Wang Guangcheng, Zhou Lianshun, and Zhang Yulong. The conference was hosted by Vice President Wang Guangcheng.

In his speech, Che Xianli first extended warm congratulations to the commended individuals and groups on behalf of the university, and sent greetings and best wishes to the faculty, staff, and medical personnel of the university who dedicated themselves to the front-line work of teaching, scientific research, medical care and management! He also gave heartfelt thanks and expressed respect to retired faculty and staff members who cared for and supported the university's development and warmly welcomed the new employees who joined BMU!

Che noted that in the new era, education workers should stay true to the original aspiration of educating people for the Party and the country, bear in mind their historical responsibility of supplying new forces for the national rejuvenation, and strengthen the political awareness of serving the country through education. By taking root in China, education workers should always understand, recognize and implement the fundamental mission of promoting morality and knowledge and keep contributing to accelerated modernization of education, building of a powerful country of education, and satisfactory higher education for the people. As stressed by General Secretary Xi Jinping, teachers are engineers of human souls and inheritors of human civilizations; they are tasked with spreading knowledge, ideas, and truth and shaping souls, life, and new the generation. General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches on the morality and styles of teachers in the new era profoundly reveal the law of teachers' development and give new connotations to the teachers' morality and styles. Teachers should learn from the role models of morality, abide by the code of teachers' morality, keep the bottom line of teachers' morality, and actively practice the code of teachers' morality in the new era. They should strictly and readily abide by the Ten Norms of College Teachers' Professional Behavior in the New Era, establish themselves to the university, and education undertaking with morality, and devote themselves to higher education with sincerity, dedication, and benevolence.

Yang Yue, teacher from School of Basic Medical Sciences, and Hao Xiaoyu, student of grade 2020 from the School of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, made speeches on behalf of the teachers and students respectively at the conference. The new faculty and staff members recruited in 2022 took a solemn oath before the national flag. All participants endorsed the letter of commitment on teachers' morality and styles online by scanning a QR code.
