In his speech, Wang Guangcheng noted that this year marked the victorious holding of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The holding of this Track and Field Sports Meeting was a concrete measure of BMU to study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening Physical Education in Educational Establishments in the New Era. The games were of great significance for implementing the concept of five educations and improving the quality of education and teaching. Over the years, BMU has attached great importance to physical education and continuously strengthened the role of physical education in the cultivation of morality and integrity. It has taken physical education as an important carrier to improve the health literacy and physical health level of teachers and students, and a powerful tool for cultivating all-around high-quality talents with applied skills and made great efforts to promote the high-quality development of physical education in the university. After the opening ceremony, the athletes of the teams competed fiercely in the events of 4×100m, 4×400m, and 4×200m mixed relays (2 men and 2 women), long jump, high jump, etc. The venue was flooded by waves of shouts and cheers, and every all-out sprint won bursts of applause from the spectators. The athletes were filled with passion and courage, streamed with sweat, performed in fascinating gestures, and showed off the strong mentality of BMU students.
