A team of health service and management majors from Binzhou Medical University (BMU) won the special prize at the first National Xunkang Cup Health Service and Management Scenario Simulation Sand Table Competition, which was held from November 26 to 27.
The competition was divided into three stages: health management scheme design, health management scenario simulation sand table matches, and design defense by team. The competition was held on an online competition platform, and the teams participated in the competition live via Tencent Conference. The judges came from Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, Hangzhou Normal University, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, and Shanghai University of Medicine & Health Sciences. They gave scores of the teams on the spot.
This competition was organized by Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and attracted 52 teams from 50 universities around the country. The competition has set up a platform for promoting the discipline of health service and management, improving the level of education and teaching, standardizing the specialized knowledge, skills, and operations of students, and facilitating exchanges and cooperation among higher education institutes across the country. BMU's discipline of health service and management will further enhance the weight and quality of practice, evaluate teaching through competitions, promote teaching by competitions, and train more high-quality health service and management professionals with applied knowledge.
The students of BMU's team were Song Qingshu, Li Yue, and Lu Tingting majoring in health service and management, and Zhao Shengwen and Zhai Xiangming from the School of Public Health and Management served as instructors.
