The opening ceremony of the MEBO International Class of grade 2022 at Binzhou Medical University (BMU) was held in the academic lecture hall on the sixth floor of the university's office building on November 24. BMU Vice President Lyu Changjun attended and addressed ceremony. Yang Zhibin, CEO of MEBO Group, attended the opening ceremony online, and Shang Qingxin, Vice President of MEBO Group, delivered a speech online. Heads of relevant departments of MEBO Group and heads of BMU's schools and departments, including the Academic Administration Office, the First School of Clinical Medicine, and Xu Rongxiang Regenerative Medicine Research Center, student counselors of MEBO International Class of Clinical Medicine of grade 2022, and all students of MEBO International Class attended the ceremony.

In his speech, Lyu Changjun noted that nearly 300 students had graduated from the MEBO International Class in the past five years, and the class had found a clear path to integration of hospital and education and integration of production and education, and further improved its educational capability. He hoped that the students of the MEBO International Class of grade 2022 will be virtuous and responsible, learn professional skills, and work as guards of life. He encouraged the students to be brave in innovation, have ambitions, explore new realms of knowledge, pursue truth, and strive to realize our expectations while creating value for society. He asked the students to cultivate an international vision, work to improve their international cultural knowledge and international communication ability, and strive to be innovative talents with an international vision.

In his speech, Shang Qingxin introduced the history of MEBO Group, reviewed the close tie between MEBO Group and BMU in strategic cooperation, and affirmed the remarkable achievements made by the MEBO International Class in the past five years. He hoped the new students of MEBO International Class of grade 2022 to learn from the pioneering, innovative, and dedicated spirit of Xu Rongxiang and Li Li, be innovative in inheritance, undertake their responsibilities as young people, realize more meaningful breakthroughs, and work hard to contribute to promoting the innovation and development of life sciences and implementation of the Healthy China strategy.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Zhang Hongqin, Executive Deputy Director of the Regenerative Medicine Research Center of BMU and supervisor of the MEBO International Class, delivered a speech and shared his poem If That Day Comes written for the students. Tian Xinyi, a student of the MEBO International Class of 2020, spoke on behalf of the higher grades. He shared feelings about studying in the MEBO International Class and expressed heartfelt thanks to BMU and MEBO Group for their providing such a high-quality learning platform. Yang Yuxin, a student of the MEBO International Class of grade 2022, spoke on behalf of the freshmen. She said that they would learn from the entrepreneurial spirit of MEBO Group and work hard for the development of medicine and the people's well-being. At the opening ceremony, BMU also commended the students who won the MEBO Scholarships. BMU Vice President Lyu Changjun and Professor Liu Yuyan, a special expert of MEBO Group, jointly presented awards to the winning students. The School of Pharmacy of BMU and MEBO Group hold talks on scientific research cooperation
On November 23, BMU and MEBO Group already jointly held a series of activities, including the project completion review of Xu Rongxiang Regenerative Medicine Research Plan in 2021, the research seminar of the Regenerative Medicine Research Center, and the meeting between MEBO Group and the School of Pharmacy of BMU on scientific research cooperation. BMU Vice President Lyu Changjun, MEBO Group President Yang Zhibin, and MEBO Group Vice President Shang Qingxin gave guidance to and participated in the activities offline or online to promote the implementation of scientific research cooperation projects between the two sides and drive the innovation and development of regenerative medicine research. Next, BMU and MEBO Group are to strengthen cooperation and close communication in the training of regenerative medicine talents, research on regenerative medicine, R&D and production of related drugs, and promotion of clinical diagnosis and treatment technology of regenerative medicine by following the principle of cooperative development, resource sharing, mutual benefits, and win-win results.
