Binzhou Medical University took the lead in formulating two "Association Standards" to promote the normative development of Hearing and Speech Rehabilitation discipline and industry

According to the announcement of China Association of Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons on the approval of the release of seven association standards including Guide to Home Rehabilitation Services for Hearing Impaired Children Aged 0 to 6, two industry association standards that the university led to declare, Guide to Home Rehabilitation Services for Hearing-Impaired Children Aged 0 ~ 6 (T/CARD 029-2022) and Guide to Home Rehabilitation Services for Hearing Impaired Seniors (T/CARD 030-2022), have been reviewed and approved in accordance with the prescribed procedures. They were released on November 7, 2022 and will be implemented from December 7, 2022.


The formulation of association standards started in November 2020 and was divided into seven stages including initiation, project defense, compilation,  opinions solicitation, evaluation and defense, final draft review, and release, which took 2 years, with the participation of 7 drafting units from Binzhou Medical University, Shenzhen Disabled Person Comprehensive Service Center, Yantai Comprehensive Service Center for Disabled Persons, Shenzhen Children's Hospital, Yantai Special Education School, Beijing Rehabilitation Assistive Devices Association, and Speech Disorders Treatment Professional Committee of China Association of Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons. The two association standards are an important part of the commercialization of scientific research achievement of Research on Specification for Rehabilitation Service for Children with Speech and Language Disorders, the China Disabled Persons' Federation's scientific research project, which is an important move to achieve early intervention and hearing health services. The establishment of the standards improves the home rehabilitation service system for children and the aged with hearing impairment, which has important academic value and practical significance for promoting the integrated development of community-based family rehabilitation, and achieving the general goal of “Healthy China”.
