Now BMU has the largest number of national first-class undergraduate courses among universities of similar types in the province. With 13 national first-class courses and 29 provincial-level first-class courses, BMU has made breakthroughs in the construction of national gold courses in all five types.

BMU places great importance on curriculum construction, which is closely linked to its fundamental task of cultivating morality and integrity. In recent years, BMU has adopted a comprehensive approach to curriculum construction, which involves strengthening the top-level design, improving the curriculum system, enhancing curriculum connotation, and providing strong ideological and political guidance in the curriculum. One measure is to strengthen the top-level design and build a curriculum construction system on three levels in five categories. To strengthen strong ideological and political guidance in the curriculum, BMU has implemented the Five Ones ideological and political education project for curriculum development. BMU will fully make the exemplary and leading role of national and provincial first-class courses, make all possible efforts to promote the standardized, scientific, and intelligent development of curriculum construction, create a new format of smart education in the new era, and promote the high-quality development of education and teaching.
