Firstly, Wang Guangcheng extended his festive greetings to all disabled students in the university and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to individuals from all walks of life who have been caring for and supporting the development of higher education for disabled individuals at our university over the years. He pointed out that the university has always been at the forefront and set an example in the development of higher education for disabled individuals. It has actively explored a diversified development model for higher medical education for disabled individuals, deepened the integration of special education and rehabilitation medicine, and established an inclusive Comprehensive Rehabilitation system that incorporates multiple disciplines. It has pioneered a path of higher medical education for disabled individuals with Chinese characteristics, which is in line with the demands of the new era. It has provided a successful example for ordinary undergraduate institutions in the training of disabled college students. The theme of this year's Disability Day is Improving the social security system and care service system for disabled individuals and promoting the comprehensive development of disability-related causes. Taking this opportunity, the university will actively unite the efforts of various sectors of society to carry out diverse and colorful activities to assist disabled individuals. It will dedicate its heart, efforts, and emotions to support the dreams of disabled college students, and contribute to the modernization of higher education for disabled individuals in China with BMU Strength.

The celebration activities are divided into three parts: Youthful Elegance Display, Healing Art Exhibition, and Inclusive Experience Tour. In the Youthful Elegance Display segment, Wu Siqin, a visually impaired student from the Class of 2022, played the pottery flute to perform the piece Elegance of a Thousand Years. Her performance led everyone to experience the majestic and ethereal atmosphere of historical and cultural heritage. The song Youthful Ideals seems to be telling us that the sail of life's ideals must be raised through struggle. After going through the phoenix's rebirth, it will eventually bloom with youthful elegance. The talented students from Yantai Xinghai Art School expressed the message of striving and dedication as the most vibrant essence of youth through their lively song The Mountains and Seas Remain Unchanged. They conveyed the spirit of self-improvement and resilience, emphasizing that despite the challenges, we should remain strong and resilient in the face of adversity. Visually impaired students Wu You, Feng Hao, and others delivered a heartfelt recitation of the poem Runiang, showcasing the extraordinary motherly love that goes beyond blood ties. They portrayed the selfless love of the Jiaodong wet nurses, exemplifying the depth of maternal love that shines with the radiance of human compassion. Their performance touched the audience deeply, evoking tears of gratitude and emotion.

The celebration of the National Disability Day is a vivid practice of the university's thematic education requirements of enhancing ideological understanding, strengthening Party spirit, emphasizing practical skills, and achieving new accomplishments. The aim is to showcase the spirit of disabled individuals' self-improvement, gratitude, and dedication to society, and to attract more care and support from society for the development of the disabled community. It also aims to assist disabled individuals in accessing higher-quality educational and rehabilitation resources, higher-level employment opportunities, and more effective social integration. This event serves as an answer from BMU to the questions of our time, society, and the future regarding the development of higher education for the disabled in China.

The event received strong support and guidance from Qu Shaoping, Director of the Jiaodong Folk Art Research Center and professor of the School of Arts at Ludong University, Wang Gang, Vice Chairman of the Yantai Oil Painting Society and professor of the School of Arts at Ludong University, and Sun Yongguo, Vice Chairman of the Yantai Artists Association, Vice Chairman of the Zhifu District Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Chairman of the Zhifu District Artists Association.
