Teachers from BMU won the first team award in the Clinical Skills of Young Teachers from the National Nursing Undergraduate University Contest

On August 21, the 2023 Clinical Skills of Young Teachers from the National Nursing Undergraduate University Contest sponsored by Chinese Nursing Association was held in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. Three full-time teachers including Han Bao, Ding Xuemei and Zhao Tengteng (from Yantai Affiliated Hospital of BMU) of the School of Nursing participated in the contest, and won the first team award, one first individual prize and two second individual prizes.

This contest is aimed at promoting teaching and assessing nursing skills, teamwork, critical clinical thinking, humanistic care, health education, and the ability to guide and teach interns of clinical nursing teachers, etc. 85 nursing colleges and universities across the country were selected and recommended by the provincial nursing association to participate in the contest. In the contest, eight first team awards were set up, and individual prizes for single operation (CPR, blood transfusion and subcutaneous injection) including four first prize, eight second prize and twelve third prize were set up.

 

The university and School of Nursing attached great importance to the contest. The nursing team of Yantai Affiliated Hospital of BMU fully utilized the experience and advantages in the contest training. After more than two months of high-intensity training, they finally achieved excellent results in the contest under the joint guidance of university and clinical teachers, which was a good demonstration of the School of Nursing of BMU.
