On the morning of September 25, the 2023 commencement ceremony for international students at BMU was held in the lecture hall on the sixth floor of the library office building. President Huang Fei attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Vice President Liu Qiji hosted the ceremony. Vice Presidents Xie Shuyang and Wang Shuguang attended the ceremony.

In his speech, Huang Fei first extended warm congratulations on behalf of the university to the graduating international students of the class of 2023 for their successful completion of studies in China. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the teachers who had worked hard and cared for their growth. He outlined the developments and achievements of the university in recent years and recalled the graduates' pursuit of ideals and their diligent efforts during their academic journey.
He encouraged all the international students to esteem erudition and constantly pursue knowledge. He noted that we should keep studying, stay with facts, and acquire authentic wisdom by learning through academic study and practical work, applying what we learn, and truly persevere in lifelong learning, continuously expanding new horizons in life. He emphasized the importance of adhering to truth and refining medical skills. He urged the students to continuously explore medical knowledge while constantly remembering the university motto of Benevolent and Skillful. He asked the students to strive for excellence and perfect medical skills for the betterment of life and humanity's welfare. He also urged the students to hold onto their beliefs, persevere through unwavering dedication, stay true to their original aspirations, withstand pressure, endure setbacks, and commit to endeavors and career development with sincerity. He highlighted the importance of relying on dignity to earn respect, on reputation to earn trust, and on compassion to cultivate friendships. He expressed hope that all graduating international students, upon returning to their respective countries, would share their stories of studying in China and their experiences at BMU with their fellow countrymen and become bridges of friendship between China and their countries, messengers of happiness and peace, and exemplars of cultural exchange. He welcomed them to visit their alma mater often.

Faculty representative Dr. Yan Yunfei, graduating student representative Deku Marie-Anne, and student representative Ahiafor Maxwell gave speeches.
This year's international graduates studying at BMU mainly came from 16 countries, including Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Botswana, Burundi, Gambia, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Nigeria, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.
Officials from relevant functions and departments, all international students of the class of 2023, relevant personnel from the School of International Studies, counselors for the graduation classes of international students, representatives of non-graduating international students, and representatives of parents of international students attended the ceremony.
