BMU's course was selected as a National High-quality Innovative Course for Virtual Simulation

2023-10-19

Recently, the National Alliance for Teaching Innovation in Virtual Simulation Experiments recently published the 2023 list of high-quality course cultivation for teaching innovation in virtual simulation experiments, which included Rehabilitation Physiology Virtual Simulation Experiment Courses: Myasthenia Gravis Basic-Clinical-Rehabilitation Integrated Virtual Simulation Experiments Based on VSP Virtual Standardized Patients developed by Professor Jiang Shujun at the School of Basic Medical Sciences of BMU.

This experiment course leverages VSP virtual standardized patient technology to reconstruct physical structures via 3D animation, provides high-fidelity simulation of real experimental operations and clinical scenarios, and seamlessly incorporates animal ethics, lab safety, and medical humanities into the experiment. The course constructs a theory-experiment-clinical training virtual simulation experiment training system combining theory and experiment, basic and clinical studies, and virtual and real elements. The experiment design fully reflects the educational philosophy of integrating content, disciplines, and capabilities and prioritizing moral education. It tackles key difficulties in teaching through basic medical experiments, achieves appropriate integration and mutual promotion of basic and clinical studies, and provides a platform for teaching basic, clinical, and practical skills.

This year's 2023 list of high-quality course cultivation for teaching innovation in virtual simulation experiments featured 40 courses from across the country, and BMU was one of the two universities from Shandong Province appearing on the list.
