On the morning of November 6, Christian Werner, President of Deutsche Hochschule für Gesundheit und Sport (German University of Health and Sport) visited BMU with his delegation. President Huang Fei received Christian Werner and his entourage in the reception room on the 10th floor of the office building. Vice President Liu Qiji and leaders of relevant departments attended the meeting.
Huang Fei briefly introduced the basic situation of the reform and development of BMU in recent years, and reviewed the development of the Sino-foreign cooperation project on rehabilitation therapy. He hoped that the two sides could build on the existing cooperation, optimize the details and strengthen communication, taking more solid steps in jointly building the China-German sports rehabilitation laboratory, expanding the professional fields of joint training, deepening the exchange of teachers and students, and building a cultural exchange base with traditional Chinese medicine characteristics, so as to create new growth points, explore win-win innovation points, strengthen the common point of development, jointly contribute to the development of rehabilitation medicine.
Christian Werner thanked BMU for the support to the Chinese-foreign cooperation project and appreciated the achievements of the rehabilitation therapy cooperation project. He hoped that the two sides could further highlight their respective strengths and advantages, take the Sino-foreign cooperation project in rehabilitation therapy as the basis, exchange what they have through joint efforts, cooperate precisely towards common development, and fully open up a brand-new pattern of broad-field, multi-level and all-round cooperation between the two sides.
After the meeting, the delegation headed by Christian Werner visited the National Special Education Demonstration Park. He investigated the construction of the smart classroom and laboratory of the cooperation project, learned about the development status of higher medical education for the disabled and the construction and operation of the traditional Chinese medicine laboratory, and listened to the debriefing on the study and life by student representatives of the Chinese-foreign cooperation project. He encouraged the students to strengthen the study of professional knowledge, get prepared to become ambassadors of friendship for cooperation and communication between China and Germany, and make contributions to the development of rehabilitation medicine.
