On November 10, the opening ceremony of 2023 MEBO International Class of clinical medicine of Binzhou Medical University was held in the lecture hall on the sixth floor of the office building. Vice President Wang Shuguang and President Yang Zhibin attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. People attending the ceremony include leaders of relevant departments of MEBO Group, responsible personnel from BMU's Academic Affairs Office, the First School of Clinical Medicine, Xu Rongxiang Regenerative Medicine Research Center and other departments, units and schools of BMU, and all the counselors and students of the MEBO International class of 2023.

Wang Shuguang pointed out in his speech that BMU had trained nearly 300 students in cooperation with MEBO Group, and had achieved fruitful results in personnel training, curriculum construction, textbook compilation and other aspects. He considered that it had been increasingly clear for the path of integration between medicine and education and collaboration between industry and education. He sent a message to the students of the 2023 MEBO International class that they should be virtuous, have the courage to take responsibility, be brave to innovate, and aim high. They should pay attention to improving international cultural knowledge and communication ability, and strive to be innovative talents with an international vision.

Yang Zhibin introduced the development process and the latest achievements of MEBO Group in his speech, and affirmed the achievements achieved since the strategic cooperation between MEBO Group and BMU. He hoped that the new 2023 MEBO International class would learn from the spirit of dedication, innovation and great love by Dr. Xu Rongxiang and Dr. Li Li, innovate while inheriting, shoulder the responsibilities of young people, and make contributions to the cause of human health.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Zhang Hongqin, the Executive Deputy Director of the Regenerative Medicine Research Center and tutor of MEBO International Class, gave a speech and led all students of MEBO International Class 2023 to recite the medical students’ oath. Lan Xinwei, student of MEBO International Class 2023, spoke on behalf of all the students. Dong Lanshuai, head of the BMU Rare Disease Care Association and representative of the Class of 2021 MEBO International, shared the experience of organizing the project of “One Yuan- Hand in Hand with EB Babies” and the public welfare activity of donating number of walking steps Walking Together.
