On the occasion of the Double Ninth Festival, BMU held on the morning of October 23 a themed meeting parallelly in Binzhou and Yantai campuses. University leaders and retired staff members reviewed the development of BMU, talked about the construction and development of the University, and drafted a new blueprint for its development. Sun Xiangjun, Secretary of CPC BMU Committee and President Huang Fei attended and the meeting and made remarks. Yu Jingke, Deputy Secretary of CPC BMU Committee, presided over the meeting. Du Ke, member of CPC BMU Committee and Director of the Organization Department of CPC BMU Committee, also attended the meeting.

During the discussion, Sun Xiangjun first sent holiday greetings and sincere wishes to the retired staff on behalf of CPC BMU Committee, and expressed heartfelt thanks for their significant contributions to the construction and development of BMU. Focusing the realization of the development goals set by the Fifth BMU Congress of Representatives of CPC Members, he said that the first thing is to fulfill the goals on blueprint completely and in real earnest. Building a high-level medical university is the dream and pursuit of several generations of BMU. The second is to keep on the effort continuously. Looking back on the history of BMU, it is a history of reform and development in which several generations of BMU strive to implement all the goals set and stick to the effort continuously one after another. Third, we must pursue development with one heart and one mind. Fourth, we must adhere to the principle of consistent improvement for the people's livelihood.

Huang Fei introduced relevant information on the Fifth BMU Congress of Representatives of CPC and interpreted BMU's “13569” development strategy. He said that he would work with other members of the leading team to grasp the baton of the relay race of promoting the development of the University, resolutely shoulder the glorious mission of building a high-level medical university in an all-round way, unite and lead the majority of teachers, students and medical staff to gather together, innovate, seek truth, being practical, work hard, and fully implement the goals and tasks put forward by the Fifth BMU Congress of Representatives of BMU, thus accelerating the construction of high-level medical university.
When presided over the meeting, Yu Jingke said that the valuable opinions of the retired staff on the development of BMU would be earnestly considered and integrated into the next steps of work. BMU will strive to provide more and better services for the retired staff, with more solid, detailed and deeper effort. BMU will continue to carry forward the glorious tradition of respecting and helping the elderly staff, and strive to enhance their sense of happiness, fulfillment and security.
At the meeting, the representatives of the retired made active and enthusiastic addresses, giving thankfulness to CPC BMU Committee for attaching importance to the retirement services and taking care of the retired staff, fully acknowledge the BMU leading team's united and pragmatic work style and energetic spirit, being proud of the new achievements made by the University’s reform and development in recent years, and feeling excited about the goals put forward by the Fifth BMU Congress of the Representatives of CPC. They said that they would continue to pay close attention to and strongly support the development of BMU, carry forward the glorious tradition and fine style of CPC members, and make new contributions to the reform, development and stability of BMU.
