From December 6 to 9, the 4th National Young Teachers' Classroom Teaching Competition for Rehabilitation-related Specialties was held in Guangzhou. The teaching programs submitted by Ma Ke and Liu Shuang, two teachers from the School of Special Education and Rehabilitation of the Binzhou Medical University (BMU), entered the final and won one second prize and one third prize, respectively.
The competition was organized in six groups, including Rehabilitation Therapy, Sports Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Hearing and Speech Rehabilitation, and higher occupational colleges & junior colleges, and consisted of preliminary and final stages. The preliminaries kicked off in early July with 105 teaching programs submitted by contestants from across the country, and 75 contestants entered the final. The final consists of a teaching plan review and a classroom teaching review. Ma Ke won a second prize for "Sensory Processing Disorders" in the Occupational Therapy group, and Liu Shuang won a third prize for Rehabilitation for Low Back Pain in the Rehabilitation Therapy group.
The competition was sponsored by the Rehabilitation Education Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine and organized by the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, representing the highest-level nationwide contest for young teachers of rehabilitation-related specialties.
