On December 16-17, the 2023 General Assembly and Academic Annual Meeting of the Medical Education Branch of the Chinese Medical Association was held in Shenzhen. Xie Shuyang, Vice President of Binzhou Medical University (BMU), led a delegation to attend the conference. 20 top domestic medical education experts delivered keynote speeches, including Wang Weimin, Chairman of the Medical Education Branch, Sun Baozhi from China Medical University and Sun Hongyu from Peking University. Experts, scholars, and clinical teachers from medical universities across the country attended the conference.

The meeting announced the results of the 2023 Medical Education and Teaching Results Collection jointly organized by the Chinese Medical Association's Medical Education Branch and the National Center for Health Professions Education Development. BMU was named both 2023 Recommended Higher Education Institution with High-quality Teacher Development and Teaching Demonstration Course Results and 2023 Recommended Higher Education Institution with High-quality Clinical Teaching Case Results, being the only university in Shandong Province to receive both honors.
