Recently, BMU and Tver State University (TSU) of Russia successfully signed a Sino-foreign Joint Education Agreement. Huang Fei, President of BMU, and Smirnov Sergei Nikolayevich, President of TSU completed the signing of the agreement in Yantai and Tver, Russia, respectively, and initiated the Sino-foreign Joint Education Program in Applied Psychology together.
Huang Fei said the undergraduate education program in Applied Psychology jointly organized by the two universities is an important embodiment of the two sides’ efforts to give full play to their respective strengths and jointly promote the in-depth cooperation in the internationalization of education. He hoped that the two universities would take this signing as an opportunity to keep close communication, deepen collaboration, and strive to obtain the national approval for the program. Smirnov Sergei Nikolayevich congratulated the two universities on the official launch of the program, and expressed confidence in the future cooperation between the two sides. He hoped that the two universities would promote in-depth cooperation in talent training, teacher training, cooperative research, exchange visits of teachers and students, and other fields.
Tver State University of Russia is a comprehensive state university, founded in 1870. The university has a long history, adequate infrastructure, beautiful campus, strong faculty, complete disciplines and excellent conditions for university development. There are 15 schools, such as the School of Education, which offers 82 majors and have the right to confer master’s degrees and doctoral degrees. At present, TSU ranks 21st in the comprehensive ranking of Russian state universities, 601st in “The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021”, and 91st in “The Times Higher Education World University Rankings for Quality Education”. Its undergraduate and postgraduate degrees are widely recognized around the world, showing its favorable education conditions and strong education abilities.
