BMU welcomes teachers and students delegation from CSULA

On the morning of July 12, a delegation from California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA), led by Dean Ronald Vogel of the Rongxiang Xu College of Health and Human Services, visited Binzhou Medical University (BMU). Sun Xiangjun, Secretary of CPC BMU Committee, and Zhao Jinggang, Vice President of BMU, were present at various activities with the delegation.

The delegation paid tribute to Xu Rongxiang by laying flowers at his commemorative bronze statue in the  Rongxiang Building on campus. Faculty and students from BMU's First School of Clinical Medicine (BMU Hospital) introduced the life and achievements of Professor Xu Rongxiang and the progress of the MEBO International Program to the visiting delegation.


During a subsequent meeting, Zhao Jinggang warmly welcomed Ronald Vogel on behalf of BMU and his team and shared the university's developments in recent years. Ronald Vogel shared information about CSULA and the Rongxiang Xu College of Health and Human Services. The two sides engaged in discussions focused on faculty visits and student exchange initiatives for specialties such as nursing, audiology, and speech pathology. They reached a consensus on various matters and pledged to strengthen ties and promote joint development of the two institutions.

The delegation further explored BMU's facilities by visiting the university's history museum, medical research center, and Yantai Affiliated Hospital (Second School of Clinical Medicine). They participated in academic and cultural activities with faculty and students from BMU's First School of Clinical Medicine (BMU Hospital) and the School of Nursing (School of Gerontology). Key officials from relevant departments and schools were present at the activities.
