On the afternoon of July 12, Dr. Julie Yu, Vice President of Saint Joseph's University (SJU) in the United States, visited Binzhou Medical University (BMU). Xie Shuyang, Vice President of BMU, met with Dr. Yu and her delegation in the conference room.
Xie Shuyang extended a warm welcome to Dr. Yu on behalf of the BMU and briefed the guests on the university's reforms and developments in recent years. Dr. Yu shared insights into the SJU and the vibrant pharmaceutical industry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where the university is located. She highlighted the strong alignment between the academic programs of the two institutions and the vast potential for comprehensive and deep collaboration. The two sides delved into potential areas of cooperation, including student exchange programs, joint academic projects, and industry-university-research collaborations. Both sides expressed their hope to take the visit as a catalyst for deepening ties, matching their respective strengths and needs, and ultimately achieving win-win results that drive the high-quality development of both institutions.
Following the meeting, Dr. Yu and her delegation toured the university's history museum. Key officials from relevant departments and schools were present at the activities.
