From August 25th to September 1st, Zhao Jinggang, a member of CPC BMU Committee and Vice President, led a delegation to South Korea and Denmark. They visited friendly universities and medical institutions, and signed the memorandum of cooperation.
During the visit to South Korea, Zhao Jinggang and the delegation conducted a site visit to Sungkyunkwan University, Inha University and their affiliated hospitals. Zhao gave a comprehensive introduction to BMU’ reform and development in recent years, focusing on the development pattern of “Two Advantages and Two Features” as well as the foreign cooperation and exchange. The delegation and the Inha University conducted in-depth discussions on the cooperation in the joint training of students majoring in clinical medicine, nursing and other specialties, student exchange program, teachers’ academic visit, and joint construction of hospitals, reaching a number of consensuses for collaboration. And BMU formally established a friendly cooperative relationship with Inha University.

During the visit to Denmark, Zhao Jinggang and the delegation conducted a site visit to the campuses of the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) in Odense and Esbjerg as well as the Odense University Hospital. They gained an in-depth understanding of Danish general practitioner system and the training mode of medical students, as well as the education and scientific research in the field of public health of SDU. BMU and SDU reached a number of cooperation intentions on the education of general medicine, joint training of students majoring in public health and health management, teachers’ academic visit, and joint research & development, and the two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation. This visit effectively promotes the university-city integration, and lays a solid foundation for the construction of Yantai Sino-Danish International Cooperation Park. Representatives of SDU are going to visit Yantai in September. BMU, as the only university in the cooperation framework of Yantai, will do its best to promote the cooperation between China and Denmark in various fields such as health care and drug research & development.
Through these visits, BMU has further consolidated the cooperation with universities in South Korea and Denmark, enhanced its international popularity and influence, and promoted the high-quality development of the university’s opening up to the outside world in running schools.
