BMU successfully holds The Complex Medicine Intelligence and Longevity Session of The International Conference on Pharmaceutical Innovation and Development 2024

From September 25th to 27th, The International Conference on Pharmaceutical Innovation and Development 2024, co-sponsored by Yantai municipal government, Shandong Administration for Market Regulation and Shandong Drug Administration, was held in Yantai. On the afternoon of September 26th, the Complex Medicine Intelligence and Longevity Session, hosted by BMU, was held in the lecture hall of Rongxiang Building. Professional scholars and guests gathered together to discuss key scientific issues in the fields of medical intelligence, aging and aging-related diseases, and digital health. They introduced the latest research results in complex medicine intelligence and longevity. Xie Shuyang, a member of CPC BMU Committee and Vice President, attended the session and delivered a speech.

The conference scene

At the opening ceremony, Xie Shuyang introduced the achievements in discipline construction and scientific research made by BMU in recent years. He pointed out that BMU paid high attention to scientific and technological innovation, and the university would regard the complex medicine intelligence and longevity research as an important strategic direction in strengthening scientific & technological innovation and serving the biomedical industry. He said that in order to promote the in-depth development of complex medicine intelligence and longevity research, the university, relying on Shandong Provincial Key Laboratories, actively built a multi-level scientific and technological innovation platform, effectively ensured the smooth implementation of scientific research projects, and provided support and guarantee for the output of high-level scientific research results. He hoped that through the session, the latest research results, technological breakthroughs and therapeutic methods would be shared, new ideas would be inspired, and the deep integration and synergistic development of complex medicine intelligence and longevity research would be promoted.


After the opening ceremony, the scholars attending the session gave academic reports respectively. Professor Lin Aifu at Zhejiang University gave a keynote speech entitled RNA Multidimensional Regulation and Function; researcher Zhang Yu at Zhijiang Lab shared Cognitive Function Modeling of the Human Brain and Cybrain Research Inspired by Brain Atlas; Prof. Wang Jinwu from Shanghai Ninth Peoples Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine introduced The Latest Progress and Clinical Transformation of Digital Medicine and 3D Printing Technology in the Field of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Aids; researcher Fan Lingzhong at the Institute of Automation Chinese Academy of Sciences shared his insights on Mapping the Human Brain: Whats the Next Frontier?; Prof. Zhou Guangdong from Shanghai Ninth Peoples Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine gave a report entitled Core Technology of Tissue Engineering Osteochondral Regeneration and Its Clinical Transformation; Prof. Chang Wenqiang at Shandong University gave a report entitled Strategies of Antifungal Drug Discovery; Prof. Lu Zhigang at Fudan University gave a report entitled Tumor Immunotherapy - Target Cell Surface Protein Interaction Network; Associate Professor Guo Binghui at the School of Artificial Intelligence(Institute of Artificial Intelligence) of Beihang University gave a report entitled Development of Artificial Intelligence Technology and Its Medical Application; and Prof. Xiao Peng at Shandong University gave a report entitled Important Drug Targets GPCR Function and Pharmacology.

Experts presentation

The session brought together the elites and authoritative experts, and they introduced the cutting-edge progress, which injected strong impetus into the development of medical intelligence and longevity. The success of the session not only demonstrated the vigorous vitality of China in medical intelligence and longevity, but also further stimulated the enthusiasm and confidence of BMU researchers in this field.


Xu Hongmei, Director of the Science and Technology Department, presided over the opening ceremony. More than 450 people including well-known experts in the field of medicine, medical staff, representatives of teachers and students of related majors from BMU attended this academic feast.
