Recently, Department of Science & Technology of Shandong Province issued “Notice on Approving the Preparation and Construction of Shandong Provincial Key Laboratories (First Batch)”. Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Complex Medicine Intelligence and Longevity declared by BMU as the leading unit, and Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Mechanism of Mental Disorder and Intelligent Prevention and Treatment, Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Membrane Receptors Drug Target Discovery and Lead Compound Screening, and Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Precision Diagnosis and Treatment Equipment Key Technology declared by BMU as the participating unit were approved to be included in the first batch of Shandong Provincial Key Laboratories.
Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Complex Medicine Intelligence and Longevity focuses on the issue of healthy aging, and proposed the Complex Medicine Intelligence Theory to solve the fundamental problems of aging and aging-related diseases, so as to provide support for the national strategic goal of healthy aging. The lab aims at the research on cutting-edge technology, striving to be the leading cutting-edge technology research center at home and abroad. It is the first in China to apply the Complex Medicine Intelligence Theory to study the dynamic changes, pathological processes and complex evolution mechanisms of aging and aging-related diseases, which fills the gap in the domestic related scientific research system.
Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Mechanism of Mental Disorder and Intelligent Prevention and Treatment takes the neural circuit and glucolipid metabolism of mood, memory and cognitive disorder as the new mechanisms and targets, features intergenerational influence and early intervention, and aims at the intelligent diagnose and treatment of mental disorder with cerebral network. It conducts systematic research on the pathogenesis and prevention strategies of depression, anxiety, cognitive disorder and other mental diseases.
Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Membrane Receptors Drug Target Discovery and Lead Compound Screening focuses on the discovery and functional confirmation of original new targets, new mechanism and new markers of membrane receptors related to major diseases. Based on original membrane receptor targets, it is committed to the discovery and optimization of related lead compounds.
Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Precision Diagnosis and Treatment Equipment Key Technology, guided by the strategic demand of “precision diagnosis and treatment equipment”, aims at solving core technical problems restricting the development of precision diagnosis and treatment equipment. It focuses on the development need of precision diagnosis and treatment equipment represented by surgical robots, high-performance endoscope system and triple quadrupole mass spectrometers, striving for breaking through core technologies.
