To further promote international cooperation of education, from December 8th to 15th, Sun Xiangjun, Secretary of CPC BMU Committee, led a delegation on an official visit to institutions of higher education in New Zealand and Malaysia.
The delegation visited the University of Canterbury
In New Zealand, the delegation conducted visits to the University of Canterbury, Victoria University of Wellington, and the University of Auckland, while also engaging with alumni in Auckland and initiating plans for an Australia-New Zealand Alumni Association. The delegation engaged in substantive discussions with Will Shannon, Director of Global Partnerships at the University of Canterbury, focusing on collaboration through the China-Foreign High-Level University Student Exchange Program and faculty exchange initiatives. At Victoria University of Wellington, the delegation reached consensus with Professor Paul Teesdale Spittle, Dean of the School of Science, and Roger Shew, Director of International Affairs Office, regarding 2+2 joint programs in biotechnology and pharmaceutical sciences, as well as joint master's and doctoral programs and signed a memorandum of understanding. The delegation also conducted a visit to the Affiliated Hospital of Otago University. At the University of Auckland's School of Pharmacy, the delegation visited the world-renowned Nanomedicine Research Laboratory and discussed joint research initiatives with alumna Professor Wu Zimei.

In Malaysia, the delegation visited Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), UCSI University, and their affiliated medical institutions. At UTAR, the delegation met with Professor Ewe Hong Tat, President of UTAR, Professor Lai Soon Onn, Director of International Affairs Office, and Professor Kim Fey Leu, Dean of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department. They participated in the unveiling ceremony of the Cultural Exchange Base with Chinese Medicine Characteristics between Binzhou Medical University and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman and signed a student exchange agreement. At UCSI University, the delegation met with Professor Jimmy Mok VeeHong, President of UCSI University Springhill Campus, and Por Choo Shuian, Deputy Dean of the School of Pharmacy, reviewing collaborative achievements and exploring enhanced doctoral training programs. The delegation also visited UCSI University Hospital and Tunshin Hospital, Kuala Lumpur's largest integrated Western-Chinese medicine hospital.
