On January 29, 22 international faculty and students from our university were invited to attend the New Year celebration event for international students in Yantai universities, titled Savor Delicacies, Learn Skills, Appreciate Intangible Cultural Heritage. The event was guided by the Yantai Municipal Committee Propaganda Department and the Foreign Affairs Office, and hosted by Yantai Vocational College of Culture and Tourism.

During the event, our international faculty and students, under the hands-on guidance of cooking instructors, participated in preparing traditional Jiaodong New Year's Eve dinner. They also engaged in traditional Chinese New Year customs with cultural and creative teachers, such as paper cutting, writing Spring Festival couplets, crafting the character Fu, steaming festive flower buns, and watching dragon and lion dances. They experienced the rich atmosphere of Chinese New Year and immersed themselves in traditional Chinese festival culture.

The participating international faculty and students expressed that the event not only deepened their understanding of traditional Chinese culture but also made them feel a strong sense of warmth and homely comfort while being far away from their home countries.
