This competition was jointly organized by the Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies, the China Confucius Foundation, the Shandong Provincial Department of Education, and the Shandong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. It was divided into two categories: recitation and essay writing. Among the submissions from our university, two recitation works, “Language in the Heart, Act Upon It” and “Confucius Becomes a Student”, won the Gold and Silver Awards respectively, and also received the “Popular Online Work” award. The participating teams were awarded the title of “Confucian Classics Transmitters”. Among the 32 essay submissions from the university, 15 won Gold Awards and 13 won Silver Awards. The participating students received the title of “Confucian Classics Learners”. Among them, the work “Language in the Heart, Act Upon It” explored the wisdom from Confucius’s Analects through recitation and song, expressing understanding of learning, making friends, and self-reflection, while emphasizing the importance of enhancing personal character. The work “Confucius Becomes a Student” vividly depicted the story of a young Confucius leaving his hometown and enduring hardships to seek knowledge and find a teacher. The essay entries covered Confucian classics such as the Analects, the Great Learning, and the Doctrine of the Mean. The students used sincere emotions and vivid writing to interpret Confucian wisdom, demonstrating their learning gains and unique insights into Confucian thought.

In recent years, our university has consistently adhered to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education. Using “Telling China's Stories Well” as the main thread and “Promoting Chinese Culture” as the entry point, it has actively organized international students to participate in various competitions at all levels and continuously carried out rich and diverse cross-cultural exchange activities. These efforts comprehensively show international students a true, multi-dimensional, and panoramic view of China. This has not only enhanced the international students’ understanding and identification with Chinese culture but has also significantly boosted the visibility of the school’s international student programs, further highlighting the strength and characteristics of the school's education for international students.
