Recently, the Education Department of Shandong Province and the Shandong Language and Character Work Committee issued a notice, announcing the list of winners of the 2024 Shandong Chinese Classic Recitation Competition. Our school’s international students won one first prize and one second prize. Li Liu and Wang Jingyan received the Excellent Instructor Award.
Since the competition was launched in April this year, our school actively organized students to sign up and submit their video works for the competition. After the review by the competition committee, expert evaluation, and result announcement, the work “Chinese Language” by Bahadur Bahir (Bashir) submitted by Teacher Li Liu and Teacher Wang Jingyan was finally awarded the first prize in the international student group. The works “The Bright Moon has never Belonged to Two Towns” by ADJEI-BOATENG PRINCE (Adjei) and other students, guided by Teachers Li Liu and Wang Jingyan, were awarded the second prize in the international student group.
The theme of this competition is “Celebrate the Chinese classics and carry forward the cultural context”, aiming to interpret the connotation of Chinese excellent culture, showcase the charm of Chinese language and culture, and promote the Chinese spirit. The goal is to enhance the language and character application abilities and language and cultural literacy of the general public, especially young people, stimulate love for Chinese classics, deepen nationwide reading, inherit and carry forward excellent Chinese cultures such as Qilu culture,Yellow River culture,and incorruptible culture so as to help promote cultural confidence and self-strengthening of the Chinese nation, and gather powerful forces for realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
