International Students from BMU Win Second Prize in the 6th Chinese Classics Recitation, Writing, and Interpretation Contest

Recently, the winners of the Reciting China segment of the 6th Chinese Classics Recitation, Writing, and Interpretation Contest were announced. The entry Chinese Language, performed by Bahadur Bahir (Bahir) and guided by Li Liu and Wang Jingyan, teachers from the Chinese Language and Culture Teaching and Research Section for International Students, won the second prize in the international students category.


The Chinese Classics Recitation, Writing, and Interpretation Contest is a national-level competition organized by the Ministry of Education and the State Language Commission. Held annually since 2019, it has now been included in the National College Student Competition Directory. This year's contest, under the theme Illuminating China and Continuing the Cultural Legacy, aimed to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee, and the National Education Conference. It sought to promote the use of standard spoken and written Chinese language, foster a stronger sense of community among the Chinese nation, and preserve and develop outstanding Chinese language and culture.
