International Students from BMU Achieve Excellent Results in the 2025 Shandong Chinese Classics Recitation Contest

Recently, the Shandong Provincial Department of Education announced the winners of the seventh Chinese Classics Recitation Contest (Shandong Division). International students from our school won one second prize and one honorary prize.


The recitation piece Reading China, performed by Lisa (MPOFU THANDOLWENKOSI LISA), Ajie (ADJEI-BOATENG PRINCE), and Muhan (MAHMOUDABDULROUF HASSAN MAKKI) under the guidance of Dong Zheng and Li Liu, won the second prize in the international students category. Another piece, Poetry and Prose of China, performed by Zixuan (KHAN NAJIBULLAH) and Sa’ai (ANSAR ZAISH) under the guidance of Shu Jiawen and Zhang Yunpeng, received the honorary prize in the same category.


With the theme Illuminating China and Continuing the Cultural Legacy, the contest was organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education and the Provincial Language Committee, and hosted by Shandong Education Television. It aimed to enhance young people’s language and cultural literacy through recitation competitions, inspire a passion for classical works, and promote the inheritance of cultural essence, including Qilu culture and Yellow River culture.
