Conference scene
Prof. Wu Qiang introduced the background and significance of the higher education quality certification for international students, and provided comprehensive feedback on the on-site assessment. He noted that BMU attached high importance on the development of education for international students in China, actively responded to the Belt and Road Initiative, and devoted to cultivating application-oriented international medical professionals who understood and were friendly to China. He also expressed that BMU has achieved remarkable progress in enhancing educational facilities, reforming teaching methods, and strengthening faculty development. He expected that BMU would seize the opportunity of quality certification to further focus efforts on strengthening the top-level design of education for international students, improving management mechanisms and systems, elevating the level of training, and optimizing specialty construction, thereby promoting the high-quality development of education for international students.
Huang Fei expressed gratitude to the expert panel for their diligent efforts and thoughtful guidance, and delivered a speech on behalf of BMU. He noted that the higher education quality certification for international students held significant guiding importance for comprehensively enhancing BMU’s educational internationalization and promoting the connotative development of education for international students. And BMU would maintain a problem-oriented approach, strengthen connotative development, deepen reforms in education for international students, and contribute more “BMU strength” to China’s higher medical education and the internationalization of higher education.
Yu Li introduced BMU’s general information, work in education for international students, improvement and development programs and other aspects.

Site inspection
During the two-day on-site assessment, the certification expert panel listened to BMU’s report on higher education for international students, and conducted interviews with the leaders, heads of functional departments and relevant colleges, teaching faculty representatives, international student representatives, and international student administrators. They inspected teaching management archives for international students, made classroom observations, and conducted on-site inspections of facilities including the library, faculty development center, clinical skills training center, physiological laboratory, dining halls, and international student dormitories. The expert panel conducted an in-depth examination and evaluation of the education and service support system for international students.
BMU would use the expert panel’s suggestions as guidance and take this certification as an opportunity to focus on its disciplinary strengths and geographical advantages, enhance top-level design, refine management mechanisms, strengthen connotative development, and promote its education for international students to new heights.
