On November 28, Liang Peipei, vice dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Dr. Liu Jinhui, head of the Chinese Medicine Department, from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia, visited BMU. Vice president Xie Shuyang met with the guests.

Xie Shuyang extended a warm welcome to Liang Peipei and the delegation. He detailed the university's educational characteristics, disciplinary strengths, and achievements in internationalization. Xie Shuyang pointed out that the university has always placed high importance on the construction of Chinese medicine disciplines and international exchanges. Since the signing of the inter-university memorandum of cooperation, collaboration between the two universities in the field of Chinese medicine has been steadily progressing. Initiatives like the Cultural Exchange Base with Chinese Medicine Characteristics and Qihuang Lecture Hall have provided high-quality academic exchange platforms for faculty and students of both universities. He emphasized the hope to deepen cooperation in joint training of Chinese medicine talents, faculty exchanges, collaborative scientific research and innovation, jointly promoting the overseas dissemination and development of Chinese medicine culture.
Liang Peipei expressed gratitude for the warm reception. She spoke highly of the university's achievements in Chinese medicine education and research, and introduced the disciplinary layout, talent cultivation model, and international cooperation vision of UTAR's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Liu Jinhui elaborated on the foundation and potential for cooperation between the two universities' Chinese medicine departments. He hoped to further expand the forms of collaboration, strengthen exchanges and sharing in areas like classical Chinese medicine teaching and clinical diagnosis and treatment experience, to promote mutual enhancement of both sides' Chinese medicine disciplines.
Following the meeting, the second session of BMU-UTAR Qihuang Lecture Hall was held. Relevant personnel from International Cooperation and Exchanges Office, School of Continuing Education, and School of Traditional Chinese Medicine participated in the meeting.
