June was the time of flowers blooming and graduation farewell. On the morning of June 25, Binzhou Medical University grandly held the 2023 Commencement Ceremony and Degree Conferral Ceremony in the Youth Square.

University leaders including Che Xianli, Zhao Shengtian, Sun Xiangjun, Bai Xianyong, Lyu Changjun, Wang Guangcheng, Zhao Jinggang, Tian Geng, Wang Peijie, Zhou Lianshun and Zhang Yulong; Liu Caigang, Professor of China Medical University and the alumni representative, Ms. Feng Rong, the parent representative of graduates, and leaders in charge of faculties and departments attended the ceremony. President Zhao Shengtian delivered a speech on behalf of the University and sent his best wishes to the graduating students. Sun Xiangjun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC BMU Party Committee, presided over the ceremony. All 2023 graduates, alumni representatives and parent representatives, representatives of previous graduates who did not participate in the offline graduation ceremony for various reasons, leaders in charge of departments and faculties, counselors of the Class of 2023, teacher representatives, and representatives of management and service personnel attended the graduation ceremony.
The University leaders attending the ceremony turned the tassel for representatives of previous undergraduates as well as undergraduates of the Class of 2023, and representatives of previous postgraduates as well as postgraduates of the Class of 2023, and then conferred degrees and certificates to them. They also conferred certificates on representatives of distinguished graduates of the Class of 2023, and appointment letters on the alumni liaisons of the Class of 2023.

Zhao Shengtian gave The Last Lecture for graduates with the title of Sailing for a New Journey, Living Youth to the Fullest with responsibility. He hoped that the graduates would keep the motto of Benevolent and Skillful in mind and start a new journey of building a powerful China in medicine.
Zhao Shengtian first expressed congratulations to the students who successfully completed their studies on behalf of the University, and paid tribute to the graduates’ parents who worked hard to raise their children and the teachers who devoted themselves to teaching. He said the graduation ceremony is a grand ceremony specially held for the graduates. Today, more than 60 representatives of previous graduates who did not attend the offline graduation ceremony influenced by the pandemic, returned to their alma mater and participated in this delayed commencement ceremony, making up an unforgettable moment for the youth. Zhao Shengtian then recalled the memories of the campus life of the graduates. They breathed with the motherland, kept up with the times and grew up with the University.

During the ceremony, the University projected the names of the graduates of the Class of 2023 onto the ceremony site, marking their graduation. The ceremony ended successfully in a farewell song by the counselors of the graduating class.
